It was almost as if he wanted to be found, was Dietrich's conclusion, the way he was nearly always at the same place, at the same time. The Baron was just asking for it, really. Dietrich hummed quietly to himself as he gently closed the door behind himself; no extra sounds, it was more fun to surprise the Methuselah. As he was about to turn around the bookshelf, he suddenly stopped short in surprise. The familiar lilt of Radu's voice, speaking in a murmur he couldn't hear, and--to Dietrich's complete and utter shock, a rare enough emotion for the Marionettenspieler--an answering voice, just as soft, just as familiar.
He folded his arms and frowned, leaning against the bookshelf as he strained his ears, trying to pick out the words. But his efforts were in vain and they left him more irritated than he had been. When the conversation came to a sudden stop with a quiet exclamation of surprise, though, he couldn't help but peer around the corner.
One of Cain's hands was splayed against the small of Radu's back while he held Radu's arms above his head, both wrists pinned to the wall by the other hand. Radu's eyes were shut, head tilted back to make the kiss easier; Cain's eyes had been lidded, until his gaze suddenly slid up to meet Dietrich's with a sharp gleam of amusement. The blond shifted, hips pressed tight against Radu's, forcing a soft sound from the Methuselah and Dietrich felt a disgusted annoyance well up inside. Cain had done that deliberately--the new angle gave Dietrich an obscenely clear view of the slick slide of tongue against tongue when Cain slowly drew back. Another quiet conversation, again one Dietrich couldn't hear, and Cain turned to walk away, fading into the shadows, leaving Radu leaning against the wall to draw shallow breath after breath.
The first thing Dietrich did to announce his presence was to viciously shatter Radu's kneecaps, sending him crashing to the floor. Without further explanation, he approached Radu, deliberate choices of wire giving the impression of a nail drilling through a limb with each step he took. "Hello," he greeted the Baron with a smile; his voice would be sandpaper along the inner ear-canals today.
